Ellen Allien, Redshape, Boy 8-Bit

Kiara Records history started someday at the beginning of 2004 when Isaac Fabregat and Adria Viñallonga aka “Piok” meet up as they both were undergraduated on audio-engineering in a well known music academy in Barcelona. Although separately, them both had shown real interest on music on the whole, and particulary on mixing electronical sounds, right at the beginning of their teen years; which put them far from the rest of their classmates during the years the course lasted. As they were advantaged students they had quite a competitive relationship inside the school which, as time went by, ended up as a close friendship outside the walls. After long whiles sharing their huge knoweledge within their home-studios and playing at some of the best clubs around Catalonia; they decided, in the year 2006, to gather their strenght in order to start up their live’s project: a brand new minimal-tech label which would not refuse to take influences from any other style to enrich it….
