The TOTHEBONE podcast is a monthly adventure in radio, employing the latest digital technology to record a shambolic two-hour radio show for all our lovely friends. Featuring strong songs, bad jokes and three increasingly incoherent ‘presenters’, it’s a heady sonic cocktail comprising (roughly):
4 parts house
3 parts disco
2 parts techno
1 Tony Allen record
1 Arthur Russell record
12 cans premium strength Polish lager
1/2 bottle of Jagermeister
What started off as an excuse to get drunk and play records we liked has slowly become an excuse to get even more drunk, with our professional attitude and impeccable production values courting praise from unexpected corners of the national press: inexplicably, in August 2008, The Times featured the show as their ‘Podcast of the Week’.
The POPULAR NATIONAL BROADSHEET referred to our ‘pleasing mix of music and mirth’ in the same sentence as Chris Morris. Admittedly, that sentence was, ‘Chris Morris need not look over his shoulder quite yet’, but fuck it – facts are facts.
